Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Owlake Digital Solutions (“Owlake,” “we,” “us”) operates the owlake.com website, the Owlake mobile application, and provides digital services to business clients. This policy covers all of the above.
Owlake Digital Solutions operates from Ghana and is also registered as Owlake Digital Solutions LLC in the United States. Contact us about privacy at info@owlake.com.
2. The data we collect
Website visitors:
- Form submissions (contact, waitlist): name, email, phone number, business details, message content.
- Device and browser info via Vercel Analytics and Google Analytics.
- Bot-protection signals via Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise.
Mobile app users:
- Account info from Google or Apple Sign-In (email, display name, profile photo).
- Your conversations with the Owlake advisor, including attachments.
- Structured tags about each consultation: the industry you selected (hotel, restaurant, pharmacy, etc.), the service you picked, the entry point you used, and outcomes such as whether you tapped "Make It Happen" on a solution plan. We use this to recommend better solutions over time.
- If you opt in to a Voice Demo: a phone number you verify once via SMS, the business details you provide for the demo (business name, industry, owner name, location, and any special instructions), and the recording, transcript, and short summary of the demo call.
- Crash reports and diagnostics.
Business clients:
- Project details, business context, and any data you share with us to deliver the engagement.
3. How we use your data
- Reply to your inquiries and deliver the services you've engaged us for.
- Provide the Owlake app's advisory features.
- Keep the website and app working (bug fixes, abuse prevention).
- Improve our services and understand how people use them.
We do not sell your data, we do not sell or share individual conversations, and we do not use your conversations or business data to train AI models. The structured consultation tags we capture are used in aggregate to improve recommendations across the app, not shared with advertisers.
4. Third-party processors
We rely on the following categories of processors to run our services:
- Hosting and analytics providers for the website.
- Database and authentication providers for the app and waitlist.
- Crash reporting and diagnostics providers for the mobile app.
- Google and Apple, for Sign-In, bot protection, and analytics.
- Anthropic (Claude): when you chat with the Owlake app, the text of your messages and any attachments you send are transmitted to Anthropic's Claude API for AI processing so we can generate responses, solution plans, and visuals. Anthropic processes this data under a zero-retention commercial agreement that forbids using it to train models. See Anthropic's privacy policy.
- Voice infrastructure provider: when you opt in to a Voice Demo, the business details you provide and the phone number on your verified Owlake profile are sent to our voice infrastructure partner, who spins up an outbound voice agent, handles the live conversation, generates the recording, and produces a transcript that we use for the in-app summary. Our provider does not use your data to train models.
- SMS provider: used to deliver the one-time verification code when you confirm your phone number, and (for Voice Demos) a short SMS summary after the demo call.

5. Data retention
Account info and conversation history are kept while your account is active. Message content sent to Anthropic is not retained by Anthropic beyond the API call used to generate a response. Voice Demo recordings and transcripts are kept by our voice infrastructure provider for up to 30 days and then auto-deleted; the short textual summary saved to your Owlake account stays until you delete the demo or your account. Voice audio is not stored on Owlake servers. Crash reports: up to 90 days. Website form submissions: up to 24 months. Client project data: for the duration of the engagement plus seven years for tax and legal records.
6. Account deletion
In the app, go to Settings and tap Delete Account. Deletion is immediate and permanent. For website data or client records, email us at info@owlake.com.
7. Data security
All data is encrypted in transit using TLS. Databases use row-level security so users can only access their own data. We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with advertisers or data brokers.
8. Children’s privacy
Owlake is not intended for anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has shared personal data with us, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Your rights
Under the Ghana Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), and applicable US state privacy laws, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email info@owlake.com. We respond within 30 days.
10. International transfers
Some of our processors are based outside Ghana and the US (e.g. EU, other regions). Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for these transfers.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
